Sacred Space

liberating human consciousness

Coaching is the Art of Creating Sacred Space
allowing for the insights, break-throughs and self-creation
of the Coachee to occur

For that the coach
must deliberately
create and hold the space
not have any agenda of their own
own their own throwness in this world
and operate from their committed IS-ness
in total support and
heart to heart sharing
with their Coachee

- With beautiful balance between giving and receiving,
every question an open question
and every contribution either providing clarity, awareness or choice -

Then alone
can Coaching be the dance
on the blank canvas
on which the Coachee
can become their own true self-expression

I thoroughly enjoyed the poetry of Christopher Horvath's blog about coaching. Would that I had the ability to create such beautiful prose with my limited education and intelectualisation slipping away with age and temporary memory loss. I do know that I know very little and that knowledge or intellectualisation is insufficient to help me be in touch with, and share sacred space. I believe that my many experiences have brought me to this place allowing me to share being with God, Spirit, or the singularity of consciousness when sitting with my coaching clients. This is perhaps where I slightly disagree with Christopher, (My favourite man's name, the name of my 5 year old son, my heaven on earth). I don't believe I am capable of creating a sacred space rather practice being in touch with, in my opinion, the ever present space that is sacred. For me that space is illusive as I live my machine-like way, often ignoring or fearing the now. Only when a coachee is in front of me am I given the opportunity to be in that field of consciousness. You- I is everything for me and my client, where the universe provides the answers and creates encouragment far beyond my ken. What a joyful way to make a living, I am well practiced in the gratitude attitude (never enough) for being willing to touch and hopefully enlarge or acknowledge, in however small a way, the universal consciousness, the light that will move the broken world we live in to enlightenment. Love and light to all the friends of Christopher. Stuart

Dear Stuart,
Thank you for your feedback and for calling it poetry - that is wonderful.
Because indeed the last thing I want to do is "intellectualisation" ;>)
Our thoughts and feelings are but clouds before the sun.
Truth can only come from being in the experience of, being present to, being in the action of creation.
Our thoughts and feelings come from our thrownness
(which we all have in common as "la condition humaine") in this world.
We can have it own us - or we can decide to own it ourselves.
Very few are the ones who do the latter - who see and own their identity, ego, pain-body, thinking-feeling, instead of it owning them.
When we are in that space that we can clearly see the face of our identity, we have become aware - we can see the Matrix ;>).
And in that awareness we become truly free.
That freedom allows us to create ourselves and our lives through the power of our word.
It is indeed not our circumstances, but our choices, decisions and commitments that shape our life.
And to the degree that we do what we said we would do by the time we said we would do it,
we are in integrity, we are in our power and we experience success.
That is what I share with my clients, if they want to hear it ;>) - until they get it & live it.
Which is when they probably have no use for me any longer ;>)
Warmest, Christophe
